About this Wine
Hunter Valley, NSW
Pale Straw with slight yellow hues.
Intense peach and nectarine, some undertones of tropical fruits and citrus with subtle nutty notes.
An excellent year in the Hunter Valley. Dry throughout the growing season, the vineyards burst early but a cool spring slowed the growth periods, meaning ripening was around 2-3 weeks later than usual. December saw warm weather with average rainfall allowing for healthy and clean canopies giving excellent ripening conditions. January and February saw significantly lower than average rainfall conditions which meant ripening was even and let the team have the ability to pick fruit at its optimum ripeness.
Rich and intense with melon and citrus fruit flavours. Lovely creamy texture supported with fresh acidity forming a long finish.
A combination of hand-picked and machine harvested fruit, delivered directly to the winery and pressed to tank. A portion was transferred to old barrels without racking and the balance lightly racked for a tank ferment. Topped and stirred for 6 months before blending and fining before bottling,
Drinking well for the next 1-4 years
