About this Wine
Hunter Valley, NSW
Phil Ryan (winemaker) / Russell Cody (blender)
Medium deep brown tawny, with hints of aged amber tinges coating the glass along with the long legs and a khaki rim.
Lifted warm intensity of elegant aged-oak nutty flavours, showing hazelnut and aged maple oak characters showcasing the spirited refinement of true barrel aged 30 year old tawny. The lingering surges of liquorice and dark spice keep you coming back for more.
Elegantly rich, warm and refined with a viscous palate of spiced raisins, dark chocolate and a touch of cumquat. The palate is rounded, elegant and luscious but not overly so. The long finish in the mouth shows fine tannins which balance out the intensity and help make the finish of the Tawny dry and savoury.
