Along Marrowbone Road you will find some of Australia's oldest vineyards, it is also where the Mount Pleasant winery calls home. Throughout the years, the vineyards have been thoughtfully adjusted to suit the times. With this in mind, Fiano was planted in 2014.

This variety handles the often harsh conditions of the Hunter Valley with ease resulting in a textural wine with freshness and powerful fruit.

About this Wine

Hunter Valley, NSW

Adrian Sparks

Pale straw.

Hints of citrus, pear, and white peach are harmoniously integrated with spice, milk bottle and guava.

An intense, textural palate of ripe citrus fruits with excellent length and balance.

Hand picked off young vines and then crushed to tank before being racked to old puncheons for natural fermentation for 10 days. The barrels were then topped and stirred for 8 months before blending and bottling.

Peak Drinking

Will drink well now and for the short term.

"A bit lean maybe, but red apple, chalk, saline, nashi pear and nectarine flavours generate just enough sparks to keep you diving back for more. Indeed there's a bit of crackle about this, a bit of pop. It's well worth trying."
