The Mountain Range wines pay homage to O'Shea's talent as a master blender. He had an astounding ability to make and recognise small unique parcels. And depending on what style they were, light bodied, medium bodied or full-bodied, O'Shea gave each of them different code names: Mountain C, Mountain A and Mountain D.

The Wine Front

"Blue fruit, earthy, slight peppery edge, floral top notes. It tastes of mineral and volcanic rocks, if that makes sense, and to continue the theme, pumice stone tannin, earth and violet, succulence of purple, crisp and long on the finish. Absolutely fabulous. Here's a wine that's rubbing me entirely the right way. Superb."

The Real Review

"Bright colour and lifted, fragrant, floral and red-fruit aroma, clean and slightly peppery. The most aromatic of the 2018 Mountain wines. It's taut and elegant, fine and tense in the mouth, medium to full bodied, with lovely lightness of touch, and finesse aplenty. This has real style."

2021 Halliday Wine Companion

"Living treasure of a wine. Incredibly well structured and incredibly regional in its flavour profile. Earth, violets, red and black cherry, graphite and wood smoke characters. It sits on the fuller side of medium-bodied, and reaches to the long side of persistent. It will mature wonderfully."
