About this Wine
Hunter Valley, NSW
Deep purple with violet hues.
Intense blackberry, black currant and spice are all evident with underlying notes of liquorice, cinnamon and toast.
The palate is dense with black fruits. Silky and long with wonderful balance with supporting oak providing excellent framework with intense fruit and soft acidity driving focus and finesse.

"Plenty of heft in a Hunter Valley context, and it follows through well too. No one will be complaining of the value on offer here. Red cherry and blueberry, gum leaf and dark chocolate flavours sweep confidently throughout. Grainy tannin completes a convincing picture."

The Wine Front
"Can we get much higher? So high Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Bright cherry, boysenberry, milk chocolate and rose. Some earthiness, freshness and tang, grainy tannin, solid finish with tannin and a sort of blueberry bubblegum thing happening. Good potential here, but needs some time to cool its boots."

The Real Review
"Fragrant spice and red plum aromas with a little meatiness, clean and varietal, with a sooty, smoky regional overtone. The wine is medium-bodied at the most, with grainy earthy tannins throughout the palate. It's a touch more fruit driven than the top Mount Pleasant shirazes."
