Mount Pleasant is pleased to announce the launch of the new brand video, entitled “Coming Home”.

The video, which touches on the history and future of the iconic Hunter Valley winery, was directed and produced by Wine Lens.

Wine Lens also produced the Brand’s Laira video “The Road to Red Wine”, which was recently awarded a Silver Award from the Australian Cinematographers Society in 2013. The opportunity to work with Mount Pleasant was one the Wine Lens team jumped at:

“The chance to work with the iconic history of Mount Pleasant and cutting edge winemaking talent in Jim Chatto is one we’re excited to take on. The broader importance of this story to Australian wine is also something we’re thinking about. Essentially, we’re stoked to shoot this one!”

Digital Marketing Director Chris Maloney says that when it came to finding someone to bring the Mount Pleasant story to life on film, the choice was an easy one.

“The Wine Lens team did a fantastic job on our recent Brand’s Laira videos, so we were excited to give them the opportunity to film at the historic Mount Pleasant.

Chris says that video content is becoming an increasingly important means for wineries to tell their story.

“YouTube is now the second most used search engine behind Google, making film the perfect way to bring our wine brands to life in the digital world.

He also points out they are an extremely versatile means of brand communication, being a great way to reach wine lovers on a personal level, as well as providing retailers with content they can use in their own marketing campaigns.

Chief Winemaker Jim Chatto is the star of the movie and while he had to work the filming around a busy vintage schedule, it was a unique opportunity for him to talk about his love and vision for the winery.
